RYT Bank Now Supported for Salary Payments

Good news for teams banking with RYT Bank — it's now available as a bank recipient option under employee profiles.

What's New?

• Select RYT Bank directly under User > Compensation > Bank Name for any employee
• Admins can bulk-update multiple employees to RYT Bank in one go using the Batch Update feature

No more manual workarounds — just set it and you're good to go.

More Flexibility with Attendance Auto-Approval

Managing clock-outs just got a little more forgiving.

You can now set a buffer time for auto-approving employee attendance. By default, this is set to 0 minutes — but if your team needs some wiggle room, you can now configure it so that employees clocking out within the buffer window get auto-approved automatically, no manual review needed.

A small change that can save your HR team a lot of back-and-forth.

SKBBK (Lindung 24 Jam): What HR Needs to Do Now

Since 1 June 2026, PERKESO's new SKBBK scheme (Lindung 24 Jam) extended SOCSO protection to accidents outside of work. On 8 to 9 July 2026, the Ministry of Human Resources announced participation is no longer mandatory for Malaysian employees, it's now voluntary. It remains mandatory for foreign workers.

What this means for your payroll:

• Malaysian employees who don't want to participate must submit PERKESO's "TIDAK MENYERTAI" opt out declaration via the LINDUNG portal, and give a copy to their employer
• Opt out window: 13 July to 31 August 2026
• No opt out submitted means deductions continue as usual
• Foreign employees remain mandatorily enrolled, no opt out applies
• Employer SOCSO rate stays unchanged at 1.75 percent, SKBBK is employee funded only

We're keeping our payroll module aligned with the latest PERKESO requirements so you can process deductions or exemptions correctly. Keep opt out forms on file, ideally uploaded to each employee's document record for easy audit access.
