EPF Contribution for Non Malaysian Citizen Employees
Important EPF Update for Employers.
The Employees Provident Fund (EPF) is getting ready to implement a new rule. Soon, EPF contributions will be mandatory for most non-Malaysian employees working in Malaysia.
Here's what you need to know:
- When it starts: This new rule applies to wages earned from October 2025 onwards, with contributions due in November 2025.
- Contribution Rates: Both the employee and the employer will contribute 2% of the monthly wages.
- Who is covered: This includes all non-Malaysian employees with a valid passport and an employment pass from the Immigration Department of Malaysia.
- Please note: Domestic helpers are excluded.
EPF is actively working with employers and key groups to ensure everyone is prepared for this change.
