We understand overtime pay and tracking have gotten more complicated this year and you or your company might be affected by the recent changes on the amendments of Malaysia's Employment Act 1955.

We have added a few new overtime features recently to support our users in different scenarios when it comes to overtime.

  • The main difference between Overtime Request and Overtime Form
  • Overtime Form
  • Overtime in payroll

    • The main difference between Overtime Request and Overtime Form

    1. Overtime Request requires a clock-in/out attendance
    💡
    Scenario example: Due to a rush project, Ali needs to work overtime in order to close the project today. He submits an overtime request of 1 hour for and it gets approved by Ali's admin. Today Ali clocks in for his regular shift from 9am to 6pm, and starts his overtime from 6pm - 7pm. Admin approves Ali's attendance in present tab, then the 1 hour overtime pay would reflect in the payroll of this month.

    2. Overtime Form DOES NOT require a clock-in/out attendance

    Scenario example: Due to a rush project, Ali needs to work overtime in order to close the project today. He submits an overtime form of 1 hour for and it gets approved by Ali's admin. Now, then the approved 1 hour overtime would reflect in the payroll of this month.

    1. You may generate the sample shifts to see how it works.

    2. If you would like to explore on the Overtime Form, please go to setting.

    3. Don't worry that your data will NOT be missing after the switch, the data always stays after you enabled.

    Existing User
    1. If you have been using Hadir, this feature released will not have impact in your account.
    2. You may explore on the Overtime Form by enabling in the setting.
    3. Don't worry that your data will not be missing after the switch, the data always stays after you enabled.
    View and Actions
    • To submit an Overtime Form in mobile app (admin & employee)
    • To submit an Overtime Form on behalf of your employee in mobile app (admin & employee)
    • To view Overtime Form submission in mobile app(admin & employee)
    • To approve/reject/withdraw Overtime Form in mobile (admin)

    • To view Overtime Form submissions in web browser (admin)
    • To approve/reject/withdraw Overtime Form in mobile (admin)

    Setup of Overtime Form
    1. Make sure in the setting of Overtime features, you have selected Overtime Form. (Default is Overtime Request)
    2. Make sure the shift has checked on Allow Overtime
    3. Select a pay rate for overtime
    4. Limit overtime duration applies to Overtime Form

    💡
    Scenario example: A submission of Overtime Form is 1.5 hour, and admin approved it but the shift has a limit overtime duration of 1 hour. In this case, the employee will only get paid for 1 hour of overtime only.

    5. Assign shift to the eligible ones

    Scenario example: You have only 20 employees in the company that is eligible to overtime pay. Next, you create a user group to group them together. When you have the shift ready, assign this specific group to it, then they will be able to view and submit when necessary.
